How it works

The process

Like with every other franchise business, there are a few steps to becoming a Nando’s franchisee. Nothing too complicated.

Send us an enquiry

Browse this website and look for a franchise opportunity in your area. Use our enquiry form and send us your enquiry, you will be contacted when opportunities arise in your nominated area and be provided information on progressing to an application stage.

Nando’s gets in touch

Once we've received your completed application, and there is an opportunity in your desired location, we will contact you back. This first contact is as important to us as it is to you. This is when we get to know each other a little more and when we tell you about Nando’s and the franchise opportunity.

Franchise kit

We send you a franchise kit, which includes the franchise agreement, disclosure documents and policy manual. The franchise kit will tell you all there is to know about the Nando's franchise opportunity, once we receive confirmation from you that you wish to proceed, we'll schedule a meeting with you.

We meet

This first meeting usually takes place at a Nando’s restaurant and is your opportunity to ask us anything you want. Together we’ll go through your application and make sure that everything is clear. This is when we can really start going into details together.

Application approval

This is the bit where we do our homework and go through your application in further detail. If you are successful and wish to pursue this franchise opportunity with us, we can then work with you and one of our trusted financial advisors to help get your finances in order and apply for a suitable franchise loan (more details below).

Funding confirmation

Once we’ve agreed on the location of your Nando’s franchise, you will know exactly how much it will cost. The funding gets confirmed by the bank, and we’re almost ready to roll. You and Nando’s work together to finish up all the documentation, and once it’s all done you will officially become a Nando’s Franchisee.

Training

We have developed a very comprehensive training program for our franchisees. Training will start before your restaurant opens and is for a period of 12 weeks.

Restuarant opening

The moment we will have all been waiting for finally arrives. We’ll organize the lease and make sure you’re 100% ready to start trading in the best possible conditions. Your dedicated local area manager will assist you with your marketing and we’ll make sure that the whole neighbourhood knows about your new Nando’s. Now you’re cooking with gas!

The financial bit

We have partnered with major financial institutions in order to assist you in acquiring the capital necessary to start your future as a Nando’s Franchisee. Below are some link to our financial partners and some documentation to download and that we encourage that you read.
