Does Nando's serve Halal chicken?
Nando's Australia is not a Halal brand, however all our chickens are from Halal suppliers and our bastings are also Halal. Some of our restaurants also carry Halal certification. Check out our Nando’s restaurant locator for these locations.
How is Nando's chicken cooked?
Our chickens are marinated for at least 24 hours before being cooked. Every oven in Nando’s kitchens is pre-programmed to ensure chicken is cooked thoroughly and each batch is temperature checked before serving to ensure it has reached at least 75 degrees. Each chicken is then flame-grilled to order and basted in your choice of flavour.
Do you use free range chicken?
We source all our chicken from RSPCA Approved farming scheme suppliers. This means no matter where you call home, all Nando’s restaurants proudly serve RSPCA Approved chicken.
Is there a difference between Nando's Peri-Peri sauces sold in the restaurant and the supermarkets?
There may be a slight flavour difference in the sauces used in our restaurants and the ones you can buy in the supermarkets. This is because the sauces used in our restaurants are made in Australia, but the ones sold in supermarkets come all the way from South Africa for your personal PERi-PERi delight. The recipes are the same, but the taste may vary a bit depending on the source of the ingredients.
How can I buy your sauce?
For those of you who can’t live without us, our PERi-PERi sauces are sold in 250g bottles in both supermarkets and in restaurant.
Where have my favourite PERi-PERi products disappeared to?
I can’t find a PERi-PERi product
We’ve said adieus (pronounced a-de-oush) to some of your favourites. Say a fond farewell to: Coconut Curry cooking sauce, Sweet chilli sauce, Mediterranean Tomato cooking sauce, Sweet and Sticky sauce and Roasted Reds cooking sauce. For our entire range of PERi-PERi products available, check out our sauces page.
I have a food allergy; can I check your list of ingredients?
If you have a food allergy, please let the Patrão (manager) know, so that you can find out exactly what’s in your food. You can also view our nutrition and allergen information here before you visit.
Where can I find your nutritional information?
Nutritional information is available online, and a printed version is available in restaurants. The online version is always the most up-to-date; the printed version may differ slightly. You can check out our menus nutritional content here.
Do you use pasteurised egg in any of your products?
Yip, we do! It’s in our mayonnaise which gets used in our burgers, wraps, pitas, coleslaw, creamy and perinaise dips.
Do you cater for vegans?
Whilst our speciality is PERi-PERi chicken, we do have some menu options made with Vegan friendly ingredients. We do not declare vegan on our website as our restaurants cannot guarantee vegetarian items will not come in contact with our regular menu items.
Do you have a menu for kids?
We do! We have a special menu for Nandino’s (our name for kids). We've designed the meals for kids under 10, with a bunch of different options for our younger fans. Have a look at our Nandinos' Menu here
