The Great Pretender Protein

Our high protein, plant-based chicken alternative, the Great Pretender Protein is made from wheat and pea protein and has a very similar texture to a chicken patty, including colour and juiciness, and even caramelises and smells like meat when being grilled. For full Nando’s flavour, the Great Pretender Protein is basted in your choice of PERi-PERi.

Superfood Veggie Patty

Not just your run-of-the-mill veggie option, the supercharged Superfood Veggie Patty is loaded with all the good stuff like tri-colour quinoa, red lentils, black beans, kale, chia seeds and veggies. For full Nando’s flavour, the Superfood Veggie Patty is basted in your choice of PERi-PERi.

Burgers, wraps and pitas

Don’t want chicken in your burger, wrap or pita? We’ve got you! Simply choose the Great Pretender for just $1 extra or Superfood Veggie Patty for no extra charge instead. Just like our chicken, they’re basted in your choice of PERi-PERi for authentic Nando’s flavor.

Thanks to our flexible menu you can customise your order to make your burger, wrap or pita plant-based. By making a few easy switches when ordering, you’ll find a tasty feed to suit your dietary preferences. (To be fully plant-based, avoid menu items with cheese or bacon and remember to hold the aioli and herbed yoghurt!)

Salads and bowls

Did you know you can swap chicken for the Great Pretender Protein or Superfood Veggie Patty in any of our delicious main salads or bowls? Thanks to our flexible menu you can customise your order to make your meal fully plant-based. By making a few easy switches when ordering, you’ll find a tasty feed to suit your dietary preferences.

As well as swapping out the chicken, to make your salad or bowls plant-based, when ordering:

  • Power Up Bowl > hold the dressing
  • Mediterranean salad or Superfuel salad > hold the feta
  • Paella > no other changes needed!

The Paella topping ingredients, the sweet potato in the Superfuel Salad, The Great Pretender and Superfood Veggie Patty are cooked on the same grill as meat products, so may not be suitable for everyone. The olives in Mediterranean salad may contain traces of fish and shellfish.

Snacks and Sides

Our delicious range of Snacks and Sides include loads of plant-based options like our legendary PERi-PERi Chips, PERi-PERi Grilled Broccolini and Spicy Rice, to name a few. With so much choice, you’ll never get bored (or go hungry)!

The full list of plant-based Snack and Sides you can enjoy: Creamy Hummus with PERi-PERi Drizzle & Pita, Chips, PERi-PERi Chips, Sweet Potato Chips, PERi-PERi Sweet Potato Chips, Corn on the Cob, Spicy Rice, PERi-PERi Grilled Broccolini and Garden Salad.

The Corn on the Cob and PERi-PERi Grilled Broccolini are cooked on the same grill as meat products, so may not be suitable for everyone. The Creamy Hummus & Pita may contain traces of milk, fish and egg.

Sauces and dressings

When dining in, you can load your plate with tomato sauce and balsamic vinegar but steer clear of the Trio of Bell Pepper as this dressing contains egg and milk. Please be aware, our PERinaise also contains egg.

Our PERi-PERi sauces, bastings and PERi-Salt are all vegetarian friendly so you can enjoy a feed with full Nando’s flavour.

If you’re shopping the grocery aisle, along with our PERi-PERi sauces and PERi-Salt, our Rubs and Bag & Bake products are also vegetarian friendly.
